Hello 👋🏼

My name is Liza, a South African Content Creator and passionate advocate for exploring and supporting local.

This is the home of my research, writing and suburb guides. Documenting Cape Town and its people while shining light on the history and context that is often overlooked.

My real passion is in sustainable development and in realising positive change in South Africa. I hold a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, followed by a postgraduate qualification in International Studies. But I’ve learnt that change can’t only live in theory books and policy documents. It is something that is practiced, in small and meaningful ways, every day.

As a young South African with access, I’ve chosen to dedicate my resources, knowledge and skills to projects that celebrate and uplift my country. Simply because I know I am nothing without its people — those who have shaped me into who and what I am today. My hope is that the stories we highlight inspire you to hold some of that same mentality, or even just a deeper appreciation for the community around you. Enjoy exploring!
